The celebrated "1955" cuvée from Château Haut-Blanville is crafted from pure Syrah vines on the historic "Vieux Chemin de Fer" limestone-clay terroir. Matured for 36 months in 100% new French oak barrels, it reveals an impenetrable dark ruby color with commanding aromas of blackberry, prune, sweet vanilla pod, and licorice. The palate is dense, powerful, and velvet-smooth with tremendous persistence.
